... because anything else just isn't as awesome
I’ve had PCOS in my life for a long time. Recently… this happened… then it happened AGAIN. ZOMG.
So I vlogged about it. Warning: I say vagina, fried chicken, and dirty talk in the same vlog….
Also.. GO VOTE!
i cannot imagine what it must be like with PCOS :/ But I’m thinking that a book should be written about it by you And yes my ass is getting up bright and early tomorrow to be in the voting line at 5:45 behind a crowd of people, ready to vote at 6 am! What what!
A PCOS book written by me? That would be the WORST book, ever! Seriously…. BAD information. I’d be all, “IF you are crampy… eat fried chicken!”
I got my period the week of the NonCon. I was actually ON my period at the NonCon. I hadn’t had a period in oh…4 or 5 months. The whole week before, I was a complete spazz. I had a lower backache, a spattering of zits dotted my cheek (I had a really big one on my chin and I was all WTF? NOW?), and I just felt like a raving bitch. Nothing lined up until I started spotting. Then I was like “DUH. It’s just PMS.” Having PCOS and infrequent periods pretty much means that the typical symptoms of PMS are foreign to me, when most women start popping Pamprin the week before their period is expected.
Because, y’know, you’re SUPPOSED to be able to predict those things. Who knew?
I know, right? It is so confusing!
“I’m not French. I speak ebonics.” Totally made this worth watching.
Haha! Happy you liked it!
You said shenanigans. Does this mean we have to take a drink?
Seriously, though, I had a former girlfriend with PCOS who had a terrible time with periods. She took birth control to try to make herself have periods for a while and even that didn’t work for her.
Birth control makes me crazy. Like crazy rage Hulk style… not a good look for me.
You would think I’d heed your warning and not watch this at work…I didn’t and I did watch at work. The plant manager thinks I’m crazy. LOL!
Haha! Happy you enjoyed it… and yes…. I did warn you
That was great.
You know what I find most frustrating about PCOS (besides the dr. who told me that it wasn’t real, it was just a disease made up by fat women to make them feel better)? The freaking span of things that are “normal” for PCOS. I have about 3-4 periods a year. I know someone with PCOS who has about 24 a year. Now I know you who never had one until recently (which blows my little mind). The whole thing makes me think that they have no clue what it is. Which of course, is what the S stands for. PCONo clue what this thing is. I have to admit, though, that I get all excited when I get PMS, because I feel like it’s a good sign. I know, totally weird.
Comment Policy:Hey there! I love people that speak their mind. I even don't mind at all when people disagree with me... but this is a safe space, so don't be an asshole. Thanks, yo!
[...] do you know if you have PCOS?” People actually ask me this all the time. I talk often about having PCOS. I was diagnosed when I was 12, but we knew something was off far before any doctors were telling me [...]
